Campus Climate Surveys and Ratings

2023 Campus Climate Survey

From March 21 to April 21, 2023, all students, staff, and faculty across UNH were encouraged to take a confidential 2023 Campus Climate Survey that assessed the climate across our three campuses. The 2023 survey builds on the work of the 2019 survey, which drove recommendations that were implemented in 2020-21 and that continue to still be addressed to varying degrees. The new survey evaluates the impact of these efforts and identifies both new and remaining challenges and opportunities.

The survey report can be assessed here.

Deliverables:

  1. The Chief Diversity Officer presented key findings to campus constituents and hosted discussion groups for those with questions or concerns and those interested in engaging with the data.
  2. Task forces representing staff (both PAT and OS) and faculty were formed in AY2023-2024. They provided data-informed recommendations to the Chief Diversity Officer at the end of the 2024AY. Undergraduate and graduate student task forces were not actualized due to lack of engagement. As such, feedback and recommendations received from student leaders in the Aulbani J. Beauregard Center for Equity, Justice, and Freedom during the academic year served as a proxy.
  3. The Chief Diversity Officer compiled recommendations into a cohesive report that has been shared with the President, Provost, and Chief Human Resources Officer for awareness and implementation accountability. That report can be reviewed here
  4. Implementation is currently ongoing with two recommendations planned for execution during the current academic year.  Additional recommendations will be addressed during subsequent academic years until all viable recommendations have been addressed.
